Description

  • Establish DevOps best practices, standards, policies, procedures, runbooks, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Develop and implement AWS security best practices, including cloud failover, scaling, issue tracing, and adherence to international regulations.
  • Support engineers and customer success managers by troubleshooting failed builds and dev, QA, and production issues.
  • Evaluate and improve Terraform project structures and reusable modules.
  • Develop and refine processes for debugging and network configurations.
  • Manage reporting and action steps for key system metrics and alerts.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to improve production and development environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in software development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a formal DevOps role.
  • Ability to work effectively in an early-stage company environment with multiple priorities and parallel projects.
  • Strong desire to automate policies, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Working experience building, configuring, and deploying applications to AWS.
  • Strong understanding of modern architecture principles such as Infrastructure as Code and immutable or disposable infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of information and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with Python and related tools is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Ruby, Rails, and related tools.
  • Experience installing and configuring monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices, source control, automated testing, and task-based workflows.
  • Ability to handle basic backend tasks and work across both backend and frontend contexts.
