Description

  • Analyze business requirements and estimate assigned tasks.
  • Write code and unit tests for server-side features and APIs.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with clients throughout delivery.
  • Tune code and applications for improved security and performance.
  • Maintain systems by fixing existing issues and updating issue tracking software.
  • Provide status updates and manage code version control.
  • Research new technologies and contribute to technical improvements.
  • Lead a team of software engineers and support training and guidance for junior team members.
  • Mentor team members to strengthen team capability and performance.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
  • 3-8 years of working experience in Ruby on Rails and its frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with common Ruby/Rails gems, especially Devise and Pundit.
  • Experience building large-scale production web applications with API interfaces.
  • Experience handling performance challenges in production Rails applications, including stress testing and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of the testing pyramid and hands-on experience writing specs with RSpec.
  • Ability to work across the stack, including Rails, Ruby, and ES6.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile development methodologies, including SCRUM.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
