Description

  • Ensure adherence to contractual SLAs and communicate status updates on urgent issues and projects.
  • Lead incident response and coordinate staffing resources as needed.
  • Design, build, support, and manage cloud engineering and automation initiatives.
  • Develop and support automation modules using Puppet technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Puppet Enterprise architecture and related Linux, networking, and load balancing systems.
  • Collaborate with development engineering to create and deploy CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, and production use.
  • Deploy and support applications in cloud environments.
  • Own infrastructure security and ensure environments remain secure, reliable, scalable, and automated.
  • Provide direct server support during deployments and general production operations.
  • Work with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and best practices.
  • Design, implement, test, and automate Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
  • 3–7 years of related professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Puppet scripting and automation.
  • Experience developing automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications using Puppet or similar orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies for servers, applications, and desktops.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.
  • Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD toolchains and Kubernetes.
  • Basic scripting experience in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Linux distributions including RHEL 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude and versatile personality.
