Description

  • Architect and ship production code across the full stack in a hands-on senior IC role.
  • Own the technical strategy for product-led growth, including activation, retention, conversion, and monetization.
  • Lead the design and development of new architecture and major functional upgrades for the Coupa Supplier Platform.
  • Build expertise across the Coupa application suite to improve application and data framework design.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Integrations, Services, Support, and Operations to ensure successful development, implementation, and deployment.
  • Document architectural solutions and present them to governing bodies for review and approval.
  • Champion a high-velocity delivery culture with small iterations, continuous deployment, and regular releases.
  • Instrument features, analyze results, and use data to guide future product decisions.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience building and shipping enterprise-scale software.
  • Proven track record as a Principal Engineer or equivalent individual contributor driving product-led growth.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise application architecture, especially in Spend Management domains such as Procurement, Sourcing, and Financial Transactions.
  • Extensive experience designing and operating multi-tenant systems across multiple business domains.
  • Strong full-stack engineering skills with deep proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural patterns including monoliths, microservices, and micro-frontends.
  • Experience with enterprise software development lifecycle practices.
  • Highly autonomous problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in distributed teams and using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
