Description

  • Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals for the Allied Healthcare Professional Liability segment.
  • Price Allied Healthcare accounts quickly and competitively in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Manage quote-related communication and answer broker questions on coverage nuances.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Allied Healthcare Liability and the broader underwriting team on complex accounts.
  • Provide market feedback and recommend improvements to terms, rates, guidelines, coverage structures, and policy forms.
  • Support the development of underwriting guidelines, decision trees, and rating logic with the product and data teams.
  • Bind accounts by maintaining continuous engagement with assigned brokers and improving quote-to-bind efficiency.
  • Represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback on tools, services, and product roadmap initiatives related to digital workflows and automation.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of underwriting experience in Allied Healthcare, Healthcare Professional Liability, or related professional liability lines such as Social Services, Miscellaneous E&O, or Medical Professional Liability.
  • A network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the professional liability insurance space.
  • Expertise in specialty liability products, including rating procedures, policy forms, applications, and coverage endorsements.
  • Ability to engage brokers and build long-term, profitable partnerships.
  • Confidence presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and account management practices.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Comfort working in a high-velocity environment with frequent challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel at least once per month when necessary.
  • College degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
