Description

  • Support approximately 30 learners in a larger virtual class through synchronous and asynchronous assistance.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory pre-program TA onboarding.
  • Monitor Slack channels for learner questions and respond promptly during live sessions and within 24 hours on non-live days.
  • Check in with learners after live sessions to clarify understanding and address questions.
  • Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time when needed.
  • Help keep live sessions on track if the lead instructor encounters technical issues or is unable to deliver the lecture.
  • Hold up to six individual office hours per week via Google Meets.
  • Grade learner exercises and projects within seven days of submission.
  • Submit weekly write-ups summarizing accomplishments, challenges, and learner insights by Sunday at 8:00pm ET.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and other scheduled meetings with camera on.
  • Review upcoming content materials to prepare for learner questions and support continuous program improvement through feedback.

Requirements

  • CDCP® (Certified Data Center Professional from Epi).
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in physical data centers or similar environments.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or leading technical teams is a plus, especially for candidates with limited formal teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and support adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A strong interest in helping learners transition into data center operations and infrastructure careers.
  • Empathy, flexibility, patience, and a learner-centered mindset.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or comparable foundational IT certifications are a plus.
  • Availability to work remotely in a location compatible with Japan Standard Time.
  • Ability to attend scheduled meetings and complete weekly reporting deadlines.
