Description

  • Provide synchronous and asynchronous support to approximately 30 learners in the virtual training program.
  • Monitor Slack channels for learner questions and respond promptly, including within 24 hours on non-live days.
  • Check in with learners after live sessions to address questions and clarify content.
  • Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time when needed.
  • Step in to help keep sessions moving if the Lead Instructor experiences technical issues or is unavailable.
  • Hold up to six individual office hours per week via Google Meet.
  • Grade learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven days of submission.
  • Review upcoming course materials to prepare for learner questions and support needs.
  • Submit weekly write-ups summarizing accomplishments, challenges, and learner-specific insights by Sunday at 8:00pm ET.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and other scheduled meetings with active participation.

Requirements

  • CDCP® Certified Data Center Professional certification from EPI.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, including professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in physical data centers or similar environments.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or leading technical teams is preferred, especially for candidates with limited formal teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and support adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interest in helping learners transition into data center operations and infrastructure careers.
  • Empathy, flexibility, patience, and a learner-centered mindset.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or comparable foundational IT certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely in a location compatible with Japan Standard Time.
  • Availability to attend mandatory pre-program TA onboarding and scheduled meetings with camera on.
