Description

  • Build and ship features and services within the team’s architecture.
  • Help migrate prototype applications into production-grade cloud services.
  • Take ownership of development tasks that include some ambiguity and resolve gaps through effective questioning.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering and operational standards.
  • Write, review, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate across the team to deliver high-quality work at a steady pace.
  • Contribute to an inclusive team culture where people are heard, respected, and empowered.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Python or Java.
  • Comfort working with relational databases; Postgres experience is used in the stack.
  • Familiarity with version control, code review, and automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in a remote, async-friendly team.
  • Exposure to building cloud-based services or microservices (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and unstructured storage (preferred).
  • Experience with React on the front end (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, FastAPI, Spring Boot, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, GCP, and GHA (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
