Description

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for activation, referral, and reactivation experiences across mobile and web.
  • Build and iterate on user-facing experiences using Server-Driven UI and BFF architecture.
  • Own features end to end from backend implementation through frontend delivery.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Mobile/Web engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Optimize database queries, caching strategies, and API performance for high-traffic customer-facing flows.
  • Improve monitoring, observability, and logging to increase reliability and speed up issue detection.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
  • Contribute to shared engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer or equivalent frontend/backend experience.
  • Strong experience building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript in production.
  • Strong experience building user-facing web applications with TypeScript and React.
  • Solid understanding of frontend-backend interactions, including state management, data fetching, and performance considerations.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architectures and microservices.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across frontend and backend.
  • Solid understanding of performance optimization, including API efficiency and frontend performance.
  • Experience working with or contributing to established design systems.
  • Advanced English communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with Kotlin or another JVM-based language such as Java or Scala, or a strong willingness to learn Kotlin.
  • Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Cursor or Windsurf, or similar.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization flows, including B2C and JWTs.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as DataDog and logging frameworks.
