Description

  • Own end-to-end process steps for new meals, recipe edits, nutritional content, editorial content, and instructional information, including tracking tool maintenance.
  • Support internal teams and chefs throughout the meal lifecycle from conception to market launch.
  • Work with independent chefs to improve visibility, consistency, and optimization of the recipe development process.
  • Calculate and enter scalable portion sizes and recipe yields.
  • Evaluate recipe inputs against defined targets, metrics, culinary best practices, and recipe accuracy standards.
  • Submit and track new recipes, recipe edits, and new ingredient SKUs.
  • Categorize recipes using CookUnity’s tagging and designation system by cuisine type, dietary preference, and related attributes.
  • Collaborate weekly with internal teams, chefs, and other departments on meal updates and priorities.
  • Respond to inbound chef inquiries and organize critical information needed for recipe development, edits, and updates.
  • Onboard and train chefs on the CookUnity platform and recipe development systems.

Requirements

  • English fluency is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in the food industry is required.
  • Culinary background with ingredient and sourcing knowledge is required, especially in recipe development, testing, batch scaling, edible portion yields, and auditing for a large-volume foodservice business.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment and the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong data collection, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of expertise in data entry, recipe management or food production ERP software, food labeling and compliance programs, GSuite, and Slack.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with chefs and CU stakeholders on nutritional label compliance, ordering, and scheduling information.
  • Ability to leverage generative AI to increase output quality and speed.
  • Formal culinary training or professional food and beverage experience with menu forecasting management is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of global cuisines, ingredients, and large-scale food production is highly advantageous.
  • Remote work with availability to match EST time zone.
