Description

  • Map high-value workflows end to end, including data flows, decision points, handoffs, and bottlenecks.
  • Identify opportunities where automation can deliver major improvements in throughput, time savings, cost reduction, or new capability.
  • Design future-state workflows that combine agents, deterministic apps, human review points, context, and guardrails.
  • Build the business case for automation initiatives and communicate expected time, revenue, or cost impact.
  • Develop production workflows and internal tools that teams use daily, not just prototypes or demos.
  • Choose the right implementation approach for each problem, including agents, scripts, or deterministic applications.
  • Connect APIs, CLIs, MCP servers, spreadsheets, data warehouses, databases, and orchestration tools across the company stack.
  • Create human-in-the-loop interfaces where human checkpoints are needed for reliability or safety.
  • Own deployed agents and apps in production, including monitoring, KPI tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage evals, regression testing, documentation, and continuous improvements after model, prompt, or data changes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to map a business process and redesign it with automation.
  • Technical fluency to connect systems and build production workflows using APIs, CLIs, MCP, databases, and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong judgment on when to use agents versus deterministic tools.
  • Strong foundation in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, Python, or Kotlin, with ability to build full-stack when needed.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs in production, including structured outputs, eval frameworks, error handling, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Operational maturity to monitor, measure, iterate, and document systems you build.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder interviews, business cases, and explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical leaders.
  • Preferred: current awareness of releases and capabilities from Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel, OpenClaw, and other agentic AI tools.
  • Preferred: a portfolio of deployed agent-powered workflows or internal tools with real users.
  • Preferred: experience with git, version control workflows, and basic security and safety practices for production AI systems.
  • Preferred: writing or public thinking about Applied AI, such as blog posts, threads, or internal docs.
  • Preferred: experience working with ops, finance, marketing, or another business function outside engineering.
  • Preferred: experience teaching non-technical people to use AI tools effectively.
