Description

  • Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure using services including EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
  • Manage CloudFormation infrastructure as code and support CI/CD pipelines for container builds and deployments.
  • Run workloads on Amazon ECS and ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
  • Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, IIS, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage the on-premises Nutanix environment, including Prism, AHV virtual machines, capacity planning, upgrades, and data protection.
  • Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
  • Own SMTP relay infrastructure, email authentication, deliverability troubleshooting, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
  • Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting; participate in on-call support and contribute to HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
  • Adapt across cloud engineering, systems administration, and support priorities within a small team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration, including 3+ years supporting production AWS workloads.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep hands-on AWS experience with security, networking, and AWS best practices.
  • Expert-level Linux administration and strong Windows Server administration skills.
  • Experience with Rancher Cattle, Amazon ECS/ECS Anywhere, and Nutanix Prism Element, Prism Central, and AHV.
  • Proficiency with CloudFormation, PowerShell, and Bash; strong Python skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of SMTP relay configuration and SSL/TLS management, including CSRs, certificate chains, OpenSSL, PEM, and PFX.
  • Solid TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN, and security group fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, independent remote-work ability, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • AWS, Linux, Microsoft, or Nutanix certifications and experience in regulated healthcare environments are preferred.
