Description

  • Operate and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including upgrades, scaling, node pools, and troubleshooting.
  • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and modular patterns.
  • Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD and GitHub.
  • Deploy and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Manage Azure networking, identity, and security services, including VNets, Private Link, RBAC, and Key Vault.
  • Operate Azure data services including PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Service Bus, Redis, AI Search, Storage, and Azure Container Registry.
  • Own platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, KQL dashboards, incident response, and performance tuning.
  • Provide support during Eastern Time business hours and, when needed, outside core hours for outages, upgrades, and other operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
  • Experience supporting large, distributed systems for the Federal Government.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain at least a High Risk Public Trust clearance; Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, and Kubernetes operations; AWS experience may substitute for Azure.
  • Experience with Docker, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, Terragrunt, Argo CD, and GitHub workflows.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL-based observability.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with diverse technical teams.
  • Experience with Azure Government, AWS GovCloud/C2S/SC2S, cloud cost optimization, or relevant Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or AWS certifications is preferred.
  • Availability to work remotely from anywhere in the continental United States during core Eastern Time business hours.
