Description

  • Develop and own CommonLit's core messaging framework for its multi-product offering.
  • Build and maintain one-pagers, pitch decks, and other district-facing sales materials.
  • Create product-first content that translates instructional and research concepts into accessible materials for educators and instructional leaders.
  • Articulate CommonLit's instructional stances, curriculum choices, and efficacy evidence in plain language.
  • Support in-product nurture initiatives, including in-product messaging and drip email campaigns.
  • Partner with the Product team to manage timelines, track deliverables, and keep roadmap work on schedule.
  • Develop go-to-market messaging for product launches in partnership with Product.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Academics, Design, and Engineering and hold stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
  • Create knowledge management systems and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Set success metrics, monitor milestones, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of product marketing experience, with at least part of that experience in EdTech or an adjacent field.
  • Experience with branding, messaging, positioning, and product launches.
  • Strong writing skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A customer-centered mindset with curiosity about user problems.
  • A collaborative, cross-functional working style with a bias toward documentation.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-starting attitude with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and welcome feedback.
  • Preferred experience building or creating a new function within an organization.
  • Preferred background in K-12 education, such as former teacher, curriculum developer, or instructional coach.
  • Preferred familiarity with district purchasing decisions, curriculum adoption cycles, and instructional leadership roles.

  • Salary of $105,000 to $115,000, commensurate with experience.
