Description

  • Own end-to-end transaction monitoring investigations for individuals and entities, including cases that may lead to suspicious activity reports.
  • Conduct investigative review and analysis in support of AML regulatory compliance policies and programs.
  • Investigate automated alerts from transaction monitoring systems and referrals from law enforcement requests and other business lines.
  • Analyze transaction activity, KYC information, and due diligence research to assess customer behavior across multiple products.
  • Interpret evidence from external tools and systems and determine whether activity is legitimate or suspicious.
  • Document investigations in written narratives and maintain detailed compliance records.
  • Decide when cases require escalation and recommend whether suspicious activity reports should be filed.
  • Review transaction monitoring alerts, apply Coinbase procedures, and document decisions consistently.
  • Incorporate feedback from the Quality Assurance team to improve case quality and outcomes.
  • Stay current on KYC, BSA/AML, and OFAC standards and apply regulatory requirements and internal policies to investigations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, crypto, investigations, legal, or the tech industry, with a focus on TMS, compliance, or regulatory matters.
  • Relevant experience drafting suspicious transaction reports in the Singapore Police Force format and filing them on the SONAR portal.
  • Ability to identify red flag indicators and populate them correctly in STR files.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience working with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Excel, and Word.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean in daily workflows.
  • Professional certification in AML or Fraud, such as CAMS, CFCS, or CFE (preferred).
  • Experience in project management, analytics, or vendor management (preferred).
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or customer experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Google apps, JIRA, Hummingbird, and Salesforce Service Cloud (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with external outsourced business partners (preferred).

  • Annual base salary range of $106,100 SGD.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
