Description

  • Build new backend services to support critical product and business needs using Golang.
  • Design scalable distributed systems using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.
  • Maintain cash accuracy, availability, reliability, and auditability in a real-time financial environment.
  • Develop low-latency, high-throughput services for Retail Cash.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.
  • Articulate a long-term vision for backend system scaling and team ownership.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn technical vision into quarterly roadmaps.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
  • Experience composing or working within a service-oriented architecture.
  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Passion for building an open financial system and working on crypto/blockchain products.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, including human-in-the-loop practices.
  • Preferred experience at a company that has scaled rapidly from startup to mid-size.
  • Preferred experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Preferred experience with blockchain technology such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
  • Preferred experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
  • Preferred experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Preferred experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
  • Preferred crypto-forward experience, including interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $186,065 to $218,900 USD, depending on location.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
