Description

  • Engage in both operations work and cloud-native application development in support of a DevOps culture.
  • Partner across Coinbase to design, implement, and maintain performant, reliable, and secure system architectures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on corporate IAM and DevOps tooling to IT, Security, and Engineering teams.
  • Build automation tools and scripts to eliminate manual tasks and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Create documentation and runbooks covering configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for progressively tested deployments to production.
  • Deliver configurations and manage state using configuration management tools.
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless retrospectives.
  • Define metrics and improve monitoring and observability for corporate IAM systems.
  • Participate in a regular on-call rotation to support 24x7 uptime for critical systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building, iterating on, and maintaining corporate IAM systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure and application development.
  • Deep knowledge of major cloud identity providers such as Okta, Duo, Auth0, EntraID, or Ping.
  • Proven experience developing solutions for identity lifecycle and provisioning, SSO, MFA, ABAC, RBAC, directory services, zero trust networking, PAM, and secrets management.
  • Experience implementing modern open source tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Fluency in a modern programming language such as Golang, Python, Ruby, Java, or C#.
  • Strong experience using and managing AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud environment with IaC.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, automation frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply.
  • Self-starter with a continuous learning mindset.
  • Ability to think critically and stay effective under pressure.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company, preferred.

  • Annual base salary range of $186,065 to $218,900 USD.
