Description

  • Own the notification platform and notification experience for Coinbase, including delivery of billions of notifications.
  • Build and evolve the notification engine to support push, in-app, and email communications at scale.
  • Drive growth goals by attracting inactive users, increasing meaningful engagement, and maximizing lifetime value.
  • Design notification infrastructure that can deliver time-sensitive alerts quickly and reliably.
  • Partner with machine learning teams on targeting and personalization initiatives to optimize who receives which messages and when.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in engineering, design, marketing, and data science on stateful notification systems and guardrails.
  • Define and track KPIs tied to revenue, trading volume, user retention, and engagement.
  • Develop measurement and A/B testing frameworks to evaluate notification and growth experiments.
  • Lead complex, multi-quarter cross-functional projects from strategy through execution.
  • Balance user experience with notification volume, targeting, and fatigue controls.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably on a high-performing Growth team at a consumer tech company.
  • Experience in growth, notifications, or engagement products or systems.
  • An entrepreneurial 0-to-1 mindset and willingness to start manually before automating.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to design scalable, reusable platforms and primitives.
  • Deep analytical ability and experience partnering with Data Science on measurement and A/B testing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter, cross-functional projects.
  • Experience or passion for crypto is preferred.
  • Strong interest in revenue generation, business models, and lifetime value optimization is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $180,380 to $212,200 USD.
  • Total compensation may include equity.
  • Total compensation may include bonus eligibility.

  • Company and team offsites are held multiple times annually and are fully supported.
