Description

  • Lead engineering teams building mission-critical systems for institutional products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn vision into an executable roadmap.
  • Break down complex initiatives into smaller pieces and guide iterative design and implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership on architectural decisions and promote high-quality, operationally excellent engineering practices.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver and operate complex distributed systems at scale.
  • Coach direct reports and support their career growth and organizational impact.
  • Work with talent teams to identify and recruit exceptional engineers.
  • Own processes that improve engineering quality and help meet engineering SLAs.
  • Participate hands-on when needed, including code review, technical documentation, on-call support, incident leadership, and bug triage.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 1+ year of engineering management experience.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term planning.
  • Experience creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenant distributed systems at scale.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with code, technical documents, on-call rotations, incidents, and troubleshooting.
  • Passion for building an open financial system and interest in crypto and blockchain technology.
  • Experience responsibly using generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, or Glean in daily workflows.
  • Preferred experience scaling a company from 10 to hundreds of engineers.
  • Preferred experience with blockchains such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
  • Preferred experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, or Postgres.
  • Preferred experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
  • Preferred crypto-native or onchain experience, including interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $218,025 to $256,500 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
