Description

  • Assist with operational accounting by recording daily journals and preparing supporting schedules.
  • Prepare daily reconciliations and other periodic reports for CBFSE as required.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and related supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Source-to-Pay teams to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting.
  • Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends and issues.
  • Support regulatory reporting for CySEC, the Central Bank of Cyprus, and other Cyprus Investment Firm requirements.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures.
  • Handle ad hoc financial information requests, analyses, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role within a CIF, Big Four firm, or the financial/fintech industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA are preferred.
  • CySEC certifications, such as Advanced and/or AML Certificate, are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in IFRS.
  • Experience working with NetSuite, FloQast, and G-Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel spreadsheet capability.
  • Excellent business partnering, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.
  • Basic knowledge of digital assets and the crypto economy, or a willingness to learn, is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with Snowflake, Looker, or similar analytics tools is a plus.

Benefits

  • Total annual compensation package of approximately €48k.
  • Annual base salary range of €36,100 to €36,100 EUR, excluding equity and bonus.
  • Potential eligibility for equity and bonus compensation.

  • In-person offsites and team/company-wide gatherings throughout the year, fully supported by the company.
