Description

  • Develop and maintain backend applications primarily with Java and Spring Boot, using Django and Python as secondary technologies.
  • Contribute to backend and frontend projects using React, Kafka, GraphQL, SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Own software development lifecycle activities, including building, deploying, merging, and troubleshooting production code.
  • Work autonomously across multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and resolving technical challenges.
  • Use data to investigate and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Collaborate with product managers, GTM teams, and engineers on prioritization.
  • Ramp up quickly and take ownership in ambiguous environments with minimal guidance.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Django and Python.
  • Experience with React for frontend development.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and GraphQL.
  • Experience with SQL and/or MongoDB.
  • Experience with software build and deployment processes.
  • Experience with at least one of Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
  • Strong ownership, autonomy, initiative, prioritization, and independent working skills.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf is preferred.
  • Clear, concise communication and strategic thinking skills are preferred.
  • Product Manager experience working with GTM teams and engineers is preferred.
