Description

  • Design, build, and deploy high-performance, resilient, and scalable cloud-based systems.
  • Lead software capabilities from concept to production through the full SDLC.
  • Build and operate highly available backend systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Identify and resolve system-level and component-level performance issues.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Platform Engineering teams.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to improve reliability and availability.
  • Maintain engineering quality through automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and SDLC best practices.
  • Propose technical solutions aligned with product requirements and user stories.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in backend engineering or distributed systems development.
  • 4+ years of expert-level hands-on experience with Go (Golang).
  • Strong expertise in microservices architecture, REST APIs, and gRPC.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable cloud-native applications in GCP (preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging technologies such as Google Pub/Sub or Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and BDD-style tests.
  • Strong system design capabilities; familiarity with UML and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is desirable.
  • Experience with GitOps, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and engineering tooling.
  • Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices and experience working in agile teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling distributed and microservice-based systems in production.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Experience with Ruby (preferred).
  • Experience building platform-level or mission-critical backend systems (preferred).
  • Exposure to cybersecurity environments, cloud-native security, or distributed platform engineering (preferred).
  • Strong mentoring skills and experience guiding engineering best practices (preferred).
