Description

  • Design, build, harden, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all CloudTalk engineering teams running in AWS.
  • Automate infrastructure to minimize human intervention across provisioning, deployments, and operations.
  • Design and deploy new services into the Kubernetes (AWS EKS) cluster and manage cluster operations.
  • Help developers identify and optimize critical database queries and tune database servers for performance.
  • Implement security policies across cloud-based infrastructure and participate in production readiness reviews.
  • Develop tooling, alerts, dashboards, and response processes to identify and address reliability risks.
  • Partner with product engineering teams to debug production outages and execute action items to improve reliability.
  • Participate in design and production reviews for new features, products, or infrastructure components.
  • Optimize existing services for better performance and plan for infrastructure growth and scalability.
  • Drive and promote protocols focused on operational excellence and production readiness.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of AWS and experience operating services in AWS (EKS preferred).
  • Experience with Kubernetes (deploying and managing workloads, ideally on EKS).
  • Experience with optimizing and operating database systems such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, including query performance and scaling.
  • Experience managing 24/7 production infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters (AWS/GCP).
  • Proficiency with Linux administration and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and workflows (Argo project, Argo Workflows) and GitOps principles (ArgoCD is a plus).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (preferably Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager) including alerting and dashboarding.
  • Understanding of DevOps/SRE philosophy and modern development/operations processes.
  • Willingness to continuously improve infrastructure, diagnose hard problems, and drive long-term solutions.
