Description

  • Lead and develop four engineering teams covering Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP, totaling about 18 engineers.
  • Set the technical direction and operational standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting, and security release processes.
  • Drive consistency in tooling and workflows across teams, including CI/CD pipelines, patch delivery, and release processes.
  • Evaluate and guide AI-assisted automation for vulnerability discovery and patch backporting.
  • Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex or cross-team security issues.
  • Own SLA compliance across all language platforms and align delivery with client expectations.
  • Organize and continuously improve engineering workflows, development processes, and internal documentation.
  • Manage hiring plans, performance reviews, career development, and onboarding for team members and new projects.
  • Coordinate closely with OS, Docker, and platform teams to manage dependencies and scope boundaries.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience across multiple language ecosystems.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager in a product company.
  • Proven experience with technical delivery and accountability for team outcomes.
  • Solid working knowledge of at least 3 of these 5 languages: Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, and PHP.
  • Hands-on experience with security research or vulnerability analysis, such as CVE triage or patch backporting.
  • Experience building or improving engineering processes from scratch.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Experience with dependency management tooling such as Maven/Gradle, npm, pip, or Go modules.
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and larger organizational structures.
  • Upper-intermediate or higher English, both written and spoken.
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in language-ecosystem applications.
  • Nice to have: understanding of CVE, CVSS, CWE, CSAF, and VEX.
  • Nice to have: background in open-source security, supply chain security, or ELS-type products.
  • Nice to have: experience integrating AI tooling into research or patching workflows.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native ecosystems.
