Description

  • Own cloud data architecture, logical and physical modeling, warehouse design, and layered data curation on Snowflake.
  • Lead end-to-end data pipeline design, including ingestion, API integrations, custom connectors, ELT/ETL, and orchestration.
  • Establish DataOps and CI/CD practices, including automated dbt testing, environment isolation, deployment standards, and credential management.
  • Develop governance and observability strategies covering cataloging, lineage, freshness, completeness, and failure alerting.
  • Optimize Snowflake query performance, clustering, warehouse sizing, execution times, and compute costs.
  • Architect semantic layers, data structures, and access patterns that support AI agents, ML pipelines, and automated workflows.
  • Evaluate and modernize data tools, frameworks, and architecture patterns through experiments and proofs of concept.
  • Mentor Analytical Engineers through architecture guidance, design reviews, technical challenge, and Agile collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and business stakeholders to maintain a reliable, scalable data ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Proven senior-level experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Tech Lead in cloud data environments.
  • Deep hands-on Snowflake expertise, including administration, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Advanced dbt experience with macros, incremental models, custom tests, packages, and dbt-native CI/CD testing.
  • Expert SQL skills, including execution-plan tuning, window functions, and common table expressions.
  • Strong Python proficiency for data pipelines, scripting, and MLOps workflows.
  • Practical experience with orchestration and ingestion tools such as Matillion, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or Fivetran.
  • Experience extending Git and CI/CD systems with automated data testing, deployment validation, and secure credential rotation.
  • Experience preparing semantic models, feature stores, data structures, or API layers for AI agents, ML pipelines, or LLM workflows.
  • Ability to evaluate technology trade-offs involving architecture, performance, and cost; experience with MVPs or POCs is valuable.
  • Business-level English, strong technical communication, mentoring ability, and effectiveness in a globally distributed remote team; work authorization without visa sponsorship is required.
