Description

  • Design, build, deploy, and operate POS experiences using React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Develop offline-first capabilities with SQLite, synchronization, retry, and conflict-handling mechanisms.
  • Build and operate FastAPI services supporting authentication, devices, menus, orders, payments, receipts, and integrations.
  • Design APIs, data models, caching, and recovery workflows using PostgreSQL, Valkey, REST, and distributed services.
  • Own observability, testing, release quality, performance, security, and production support.
  • Manage changes across application code, backend services, Terraform infrastructure, Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Payments, Accounting, Reservations, Infrastructure, Security, and engineering teams.
  • Contribute through architecture decisions, code reviews, pair programming, documentation, mentoring, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building, shipping, and operating production applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience with React Native, Expo, React Query, Zustand, and SQLite.
  • Knowledge of maintainable architecture, automated testing, debugging, performance, security, and operational reliability.
  • Experience with relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, caching, API design, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows.
  • Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, AWS, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
  • Experience building POS or other real-time transactional systems; hospitality or food-and-beverage experience is preferred.
  • Experience with offline-first applications, synchronization, conflict resolution, native mobile capabilities, app-store delivery, or hardware integrations.
  • Experience with payment processing, e-invoicing, and fiscalization is preferred.
  • Business-level English, strong communication skills, customer empathy, and authorization to work in Europe without visa sponsorship.
