Description

  • Oversee the grantmaking process from assessment and disbursement through evaluation, while meeting tight timelines.
  • Manage relationships with grantees and maintain effective two-way communication and regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with peers and other ClimateWorks teams to support grantmaking and cross-cutting strategies.
  • Organize stakeholder engagement groups, including virtual and in-person meetings and the annual Global Cement Decarbonization Convening.
  • Prepare agendas, coordinate speakers, capture notes, and document meeting outcomes.
  • Support research and analysis that informs program strategy and decarbonization planning.
  • Prepare briefings, budgets, communications materials, and other external-facing work products.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, point of contact, and representative for the Global Industry Hub in the cement and building materials ecosystem.
  • Share knowledge through written communications and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Passion for addressing climate change, demonstrated over multiple years.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management in a relevant role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, public policy, engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to initiate and manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize information creatively and thoroughly.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability for at least two international trips per year, with the possibility of more.
  • Ability to work across global time zones, including frequent calls with teams in California, India, Africa, and Asia.
  • Commitment to collaboration, inclusion, equity, and the mission and values of the Global Industry Hub.
  • Experience or understanding of the cement and building materials sectors and the broader design and construction industry (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in engineering, policy, or another relevant field (preferred).
  • Experience managing grants or working with nonprofits (preferred).
