Description

  • Partner closely with regional sales and marketing teams to advance community goals.
  • Present technical talks, meetups, webinars, demos, and trainings for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate conferences, meetups, and other community events in-person and online.
  • Engage affiliate communities as a speaker and coordinator of joint events.
  • Create high-quality developer-focused content such as videos, blog posts, and podcasts.
  • Write code and maintain sample projects for demonstrations and teaching purposes.
  • Work with marketing to create and publish product-focused social media and newsletter content.
  • Measure and report on the activities and impact of the Developer Relations function.
  • Support engineers in online communities such as Discord, Twitter, Slack, and GitHub Discussions.

Requirements

  • Technical background and deep familiarity with the data domain as a developer, infrastructure engineer, data engineer, data analyst, or similar.
  • Experience and understanding of databases, data stores, data warehouses, and distributed systems preferred.
  • Experience with open source technologies and communities, demonstrated through practical use and prior contributions.
  • Experience sharing knowledge with engineers through blogs, recorded videos, meetup talks, conference talks, or training sessions.
  • Formal experience in developer advocacy, developer evangelism, or developer marketing is a plus but not required.
  • Excitement for organizing and hosting events for community growth.
  • Comfort being a frequent public speaker on technical topics.
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to people from different backgrounds.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to give constructive feedback.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Must be based in the London, Berlin, or Amsterdam area.
