Description

  • Serve on customer projects focused on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, performance testing, functional testing, reference architecture work, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling.
  • Provide consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects for implementation, onboarding, production launches, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Deliver architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on support tasks.
  • Handle L1 to L3 support cases and communications when not assigned to larger customer projects.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to inform the product roadmap and account plans.
  • Develop and maintain public and internal documentation, knowledge base articles, learning materials, reference architecture content, blogs, and benchmark results.
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as the organization grows.
  • Participate in scheduling and on-call coverage to support 24x7 global operations.
  • Support regional onsite travel as needed, up to 35% estimated.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Account Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems.
  • Broad technical knowledge across DBMS, OLAP, cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.
  • Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
  • Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including infrastructure-as-a-service offerings such as EC2.
  • Experience with ClickHouse is a plus.
  • Experience with open-source technologies as a user, community member, or contributor is a plus.
  • Experience with data pipelines or streaming tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort in a customer-facing role.
  • Self-driven, curious, and eager to continue learning and growing.
