Description

  • Serve as a team member on customer projects covering design, architecture, integration, implementation, documentation, research, benchmarking, testing, sizing, migration, development, and tooling.
  • Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects for onboarding, implementation, production launches, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Deliver architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on engineering tasks.
  • Handle L1 to L3 support cases and customer communications when not assigned to larger projects.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to inform product roadmap and account plans.
  • Develop and contribute to public and internal documentation, knowledge base articles, learning materials, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results.
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as the team grows.
  • Participate in scheduling and on-call coverage to support 24x7 global operations, including regional onsite travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems.
  • Broad technical depth in DBMS, OLAP, cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.
  • Experience leading and delivering large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers.
  • Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their infrastructure-as-a-service offerings such as EC2.
  • Experience with ClickHouse is preferred.
  • Experience with open-source technologies as a user, community member, or contributor is preferred.
  • Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort in a customer-facing role collaborating with Support Services, Engineering, and Sales.
  • Self-driven, curious, and eager to continuously learn and grow.
