Description

  • Develop and manage authentication, authorization, audit logging, and monitoring capabilities with other engineering teams.
  • Provide customers and internal users with secure, user-friendly access through support for SAML, SCIM, MFA, and passwordless authentication.
  • Ensure resources have the correct authorization levels while keeping access patterns understandable for users and easy for engineers to implement.
  • Capture security and access events for analysis and surface them appropriately for internal teams and customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on database access management patterns and recommend security and usability improvements.
  • Work with teams on third-party integration patterns and help build common platforms for secure credential management.
  • Ensure identity and access management systems comply with relevant security and compliance frameworks such as NIST.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation to help other teams onboard and integrate with identity and access management systems.
  • Respond to on-call escalations involving the identity and access management platform.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on complex system design and development.
  • Experience working with diverse programming languages, such as C++ and TypeScript.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization services using standards such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth2, or OIDC.
  • Direct experience with Auth0, Okta, cloud IAM platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and authorization systems.
  • Experience implementing access control for web applications, APIs, and databases.
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and scalable architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid production debugging experience.
  • High responsibility, ownership, and accountability, with comfort in a fast-paced environment.
