Description

  • Take part in defining the roadmap for the Product Metrics team.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain business-critical petabyte-scale systems.
  • Deliver new features and iterate on them with the team.
  • Own system performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and support other team members and contribute to design discussions.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and own the services you run.
  • Collaborate with engineering teammates in a fully remote environment.
  • Support data gathering and processing for internal billing and accounting systems and customer dashboards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
  • 2+ years of software application development experience using Golang.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience storing, shipping, and retrieving large volumes of data efficiently using technologies such as ClickHouse.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Temporal, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Strong initiative, ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with solid production debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well across teams in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into modular solutions, deliver MVPs, and iterate based on data and feedback.
  • Bonus: experience with ClickHouse.
  • Bonus: experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
