Description

  • Build agents that investigate incidents, surface anomalies, and explain why production is broken.
  • Develop reusable skills that encode the team’s debugging, root-cause analysis, query writing, and incident response workflows.
  • Own the agent stack end to end, including context engineering, tool design, evals, tracing, and cost management.
  • Build MCP servers, SDKs, and integrations that let customer agents read telemetry, take action, and remain observable.
  • Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers to debug issues and feed learnings back into the product.
  • Address production challenges such as latency, cost, context window limits, eval coverage, and hallucinations on real telemetry.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1–2 years building LLM-powered systems or agents in production.
  • Strong backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python.
  • Hands-on experience building agents with multi-step tool use, planning, memory, and error recovery.
  • Experience designing skills or workflow encodings, with judgment on when to use a skill, a tool, or both.
  • Experience with MCP, including building servers, designing tools, and handling auth, scoping, and observability.
  • Strong evaluation practices, including golden sets, LLM-as-judge, and regression detection.
  • SQL proficiency and the ability to write ClickHouse queries directly.
  • Comfort with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Active participation in open source and the developer community.
  • Preferred experience building or operating production agents in observability, incident response, or SRE.
  • Preferred familiarity with prompt caching, context compaction, columnar databases, event ingestion pipelines, Go, Rust, or other systems languages.
