Description

Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts to ensure software quality standards are met.
Coordinate with developers and functional analysts to build test plans, test procedures, and testing artifacts.
Lead testing activities in accordance with Master Test Plan specifications, including tracking, monitoring, and reporting results.
Lead continuous integration and performance testing events.
Manage, track, and update testing artifacts, defect logs, and reports in GitHub, Jira, and related repositories.
Identify, document, and report defects and bugs, and monitor defect status through Jira or other ALM tools.
Manage and assist staff test events by ensuring appropriate resources and test environments are in place.
Perform code reviews of test scripts and support resolution of testing issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and high quality of software.
Support manual and automated testing across backend, API, and integrated environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of relevant experience in manual and automation testing.
8+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Experience working with developers, end users, and organizations to create test plans and test scripts.
Experience writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
Experience coordinating and managing test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts.
Experience setting up test environments and configuring necessary hardware and operating environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript; highly proficient in scripting languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, Go, TypeScript, and PHP.
Hands-on experience with QA automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, TestNG, Cypress, or Playwright.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla, or HP ALM.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices; experience in a SAFe / Agile environment.
Proficiency in SQL, backend testing, API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI, and GitHub/repository workflows.
Ability to receive a Security Clearance / Public Trust and eligibility limited to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Preferred experience with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, medical claims X.12 transactions, medical claims processing applications, accessibility testing tools, and ISTQB certification.
