Description

  • Respond to escalated security incidents, conduct investigations, and report root cause and resolution.
  • Implement and maintain security systems including SIEM, DLP, antivirus/antimalware, and XDR tools.
  • Coordinate threat and vulnerability remediation from intelligence feeds, the SOC, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Create regular security reports for management.
  • Support remediation of internal and external threats identified through vulnerability and penetration scans.
  • Manage remediation plans based on proactive scanning.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to protect systems and data.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for major incidents when required.
  • Follow approved change control and documentation procedures.
  • Coach and mentor team members on security solutions managed by the Technology Centre.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box under pressure.
  • Strong customer-facing and organisational skills with a focus on delivering correctly first time.
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing security in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience investigating issues using SIEM tools and other security logging services.
  • Experience working in or with a Security Operations Centre and managing security incidents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, playbooks, and automation.
  • Experience managing vulnerability management tools.
  • Ability to secure and provide technical governance for AI use in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, virtualization principles, networking principles, and security operations.
  • Experience with firewall and IDS/IPS configuration, email and web filtering, and log management solutions.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS, and Hyper-V.
  • Ability to conduct security research and stay current with emerging threats and technologies.
  • Vendor-certified qualifications for administering cloud environments, operating systems, storage devices, and mainstream software products.
  • Exposure to LANs/WLANs and knowledge of distributed systems, Linux/Unix, VMware, and Hyper-V.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
