Description

  • Design, provision, and maintain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, shared services, and infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep.
  • Engineer Azure networking, including hub-and-spoke VNets, firewalls, WAFs, Private Link, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
  • Build reusable infrastructure modules, manage remote state, validate changes, detect drift, and promote changes through pull-request controls.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD and release automation with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy where needed.
  • Develop cloud tooling and operational automation using .NET/C#, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Build and operate containerized workloads on AKS and Azure Container Apps, including scaling, health checks, deployment strategies, and rollback.
  • Define SLIs/SLOs, implement monitoring and alerting, and participate in on-call response, incident analysis, and blameless postmortems.
  • Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and KQL.
  • Enforce security, governance, compliance, and cost controls across Azure platforms and regulated workloads.
  • Document platform architecture and runbooks, mentor engineers, and establish reusable engineering standards for application teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience with production support responsibility.
  • Strong Azure engineering experience across networking, compute, containers, identity, security, governance, storage, and monitoring.
  • Advanced Terraform and hands-on Bicep experience, including module design, state management, imports, validation, and drift detection.
  • Hands-on development and automation experience with .NET/C#, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience building REST/API integrations and working with JSON, YAML, Git, code review, testing, logging, and error handling.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, including YAML pipelines, approvals, branch policies, reusable templates, and secure authentication.
  • Experience with AKS, Azure Container Apps, Docker, and Azure Container Registry or equivalent container platforms.
  • Knowledge of SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, observability, incident management, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and operational automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, Azure RBAC, Key Vault, workload identity federation, and least-privilege security.
  • Effective daily use of AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, with independent validation of generated code, infrastructure, and recommendations before production use.
