Description

  • Own the end-to-end architecture for CDC replication, Fabric/OneLake lakehouse landing, and layered Snowflake data warehousing.
  • Author and maintain architecture decision records covering transformation, CDC/load strategy, semantic models, warehouse isolation, and cross-platform interoperability.
  • Design curated data layers and dimensional models, including recomputed source values and standardized reporting attributes.
  • Define a single certified BI semantic model with centrally governed and versioned metric definitions.
  • Work directly in the codebase alongside developers throughout solution design and implementation.
  • Lead technical discovery with client architecture, security, and platform teams.
  • Resolve interoperability, networking, and identity design questions.
  • Own architecture quality gates, design validation, baseline approval, and cutover readiness evidence.
  • Mentor developers on transformation patterns, incremental materialization, reconciliation, and data quality.

Requirements

  • Hands-on enterprise data architecture and data platform modernization experience.
  • Experience architecting Snowflake platforms with raw/staging/curated layers and incremental transformation patterns.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake or a comparable lakehouse platform and lakehouse-to-warehouse interoperability.
  • Experience designing CDC replication pipelines using tools such as Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, Debezium, or similar.
  • Experience designing governed, certified BI semantic layers using Power BI or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, including classification, masking, row-level access, and lineage.
  • Fluent English at C1 level for direct engagement with architecture, security, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP for financial or GL reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with mortgage, lending, or financial-services data platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development in a governed SDLC is preferred.
