Description

  • Design, implement, and automate DevOps processes for building, testing, releasing, and deploying web applications on AWS.
  • Provision and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation or AWS CDK across development and production environments.
  • Manage infrastructure against scalability, reliability, availability, security, and cost objectives.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application performance.
  • Optimize AWS resource utilization, auto scaling, and database queries for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Implement IAM policies, least-privilege access, VPC isolation, backup policies, encryption, and secrets management.
  • Define, document, and test disaster recovery plans, including RPOs and RTOs.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and client operations teams to improve the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in peer reviews, agile ceremonies, and sprint demonstrations with client stakeholders.
  • Work with distributed colleagues and client teams in the UK, Portugal, and Brazil.

Requirements

  • Experience managing AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, and CloudFront.
  • Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Demonstrable experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Strong Python or Bash scripting skills for infrastructure automation and orchestration.
  • Practical experience with AWS backups, KMS encryption, snapshots, and secrets management.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools for logging, metrics, alerting, and APM, including CloudWatch or Grafana.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, routing tables, and related concepts.
  • Analytical, proactive problem-solving approach and experience working in agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluent English required.
  • Preferred: experience with AI-agent evaluation pipelines, secure agent sandboxing, Auth0 or Azure Entra ID, security and compliance, performance benchmarking, or relevant AWS/DevOps certifications.
