Description

  • Develop and evolve data ingestion applications using AWS tools and serverless or ECS-based architectures.
  • Participate in technical discovery, inceptions, and requirement refinement with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Write and structure automated tests to ensure delivery quality.
  • Perform code reviews and deploy changes to production.
  • Manage incidents and support operational stability of data solutions.
  • Optimize data jobs and pipelines through partitioning, skew handling, and performance tuning.
  • Design and maintain pipeline orchestration using AWS Step Functions and AWS EventBridge.
  • Configure and monitor observability using AWS CloudWatch and, preferably, Datadog.
  • Apply FinOps practices to improve cloud resource efficiency and reduce data solution costs.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Python and hands-on experience with PySpark.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Glue, EC2, Lambda, and Athena.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledge of unit test automation and the testing pyramid strategy.
  • Experience refining technical stories and solution design.
  • Strong code quality and programming best practices.
  • Good communication skills to align with teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute work with proactivity.
  • Experience optimizing cloud costs and applying FinOps practices to data pipelines.
  • Experience with serverless architecture, Datadog, Kafka, SQS, or SNS is a plus.
  • Experience with AI generative tools, agents, and skills is a plus.
  • Experience with Localstack and infrastructure as code is a plus.
