Description

  • Write, test, and debug Perl code for server-side applications and software products.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and server-side logic.
  • Integrate applications with third-party web services and backend systems.
  • Build and enhance client-side functionality using JavaScript to support seamless UI/UX interactions.
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational database schemas and SQL queries.
  • Work with Git for branching, merging, and code review workflows.
  • Deploy, monitor, and debug applications in a Linux environment.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across the stack, including performance and stability issues.
  • Write unit tests, refactor legacy code, and maintain code quality through best practices and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product, test, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies and delivery work.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Perl server-side development.
  • Deep understanding of CPAN and common Perl frameworks including Catalyst, DBIx::Class, Plack (PSGI), Moose, and Template Toolkit.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience with Git version control workflows.
  • Comfort working in Linux-based environments.
  • Solid debugging, problem analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience writing unit tests using Perl and JavaScript testing frameworks.
  • Ability to refactor legacy codebases and follow coding standards and documentation practices.
  • Preferred experience building scalable architectures and contributing to design discussions.
