Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Build and support routing architectures, including BGP, OSPF, route policies, and peering strategies.
  • Manage hybrid networking connectivity such as VPNs, Direct Connect, and inter-region routing.
  • Configure and support Cisco networking hardware.
  • Develop network automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Implement network security controls, including segmentation, firewall policies, and access management.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, and traffic analysis.
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis for network outages.
  • Manage ISP connectivity, including transit providers, private circuits, and carrier relationships.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Security teams on resilient network delivery.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
  • Relevant certification or experience such as CCNP or JNCIP Data Centre, Enterprise, or Service Provider.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, routing, switching, and load balancing.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot layer 2 issues, including ARP, MAC address tables, LACP, and MC-LAG.
  • Experience troubleshooting DNS problems.
  • Experience with common network cabling.
  • Experience with Kubernetes CNI technologies such as Calico or Cilium.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking, including site-to-site VPNs and private connectivity such as AWS Direct Connect or GCP Interconnect.
  • Understanding of cloud-native networking services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, and Cloud Router.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform for network infrastructure provisioning.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or similar.
  • Experience implementing network monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Understanding of network performance metrics and logging.
  • Ability to create and maintain runbooks and documentation.
  • Experience implementing network security controls and segmentation.
  • Understanding of firewall management and security policies.
  • Familiarity with network access control concepts.
  • Preferred: EVPN experience.
  • Preferred: IPv6 rollout experience.
  • Preferred: Juniper-specific knowledge and experience.
  • Preferred: Linux CLI experience.
