Description

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
Build and support routing architectures, including BGP, OSPF, route policies, and peering strategies.
Manage hybrid networking connectivity such as VPNs, Direct Connect, and inter-region routing.
Configure and support Cisco networking hardware.
Develop network automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Implement network security controls, including segmentation, firewall policies, and access management.
Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, and traffic analysis.
Support incident response and root cause analysis for network outages.
Manage ISP connectivity, including transit providers, private circuits, and carrier relationships.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Security teams on resilient network delivery.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
Relevant certification or experience such as CCNP or JNCIP Data Centre, Enterprise, or Service Provider.
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, and network troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, routing, switching, and load balancing.
Hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms.
Ability to troubleshoot layer 2 issues, including ARP, MAC address tables, LACP, and MC-LAG.
Experience troubleshooting DNS problems.
Experience with common network cabling.
Experience with Kubernetes CNI technologies such as Calico or Cilium.
Experience with hybrid cloud networking, including site-to-site VPNs and private connectivity such as AWS Direct Connect or GCP Interconnect.
Understanding of cloud-native networking services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, and Cloud Router.
Working knowledge of Terraform for network infrastructure provisioning.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or similar.
Experience implementing network monitoring and alerting systems.
Understanding of network performance metrics and logging.
Ability to create and maintain runbooks and documentation.
Experience implementing network security controls and segmentation.
Understanding of firewall management and security policies.
Familiarity with network access control concepts.
Preferred: EVPN experience.
Preferred: IPv6 rollout experience.
Preferred: Juniper-specific knowledge and experience.
Preferred: Linux CLI experience.
