Description

  • Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships in Germany and the broader European market, focusing on individual contacts rather than companies.
  • Proactively develop new business across concert touring, corporate events, trade shows, and theatrical productions.
  • Develop strong technical knowledge of Christie Lites’ lighting inventory to influence product specification.
  • Conduct site visits, attend productions, and meet clients in their own environment.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder networks including Lighting Designers, Production Managers, Promoters, and Band Management.
  • Collaborate with internal Project Managers to produce accurate quotes and winning proposals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance using quarterly commission reports and identify growth opportunities.
  • Invoice accurately and on time while supporting the Accounting team with timely collections.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and the German live events landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relationship-based B2B sales experience, ideally in live events, production, or entertainment technology.
  • A strong existing network of contacts in the German or European live events market.
  • Technical aptitude to discuss lighting specifications with Lighting Designers or Production Managers.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles of 3–12 months and high-value deals of €500K+.
  • Self-directed and independently motivated, with the ability to work without micromanagement.
  • Willingness to travel approximately one week per month.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Direct experience with stage lighting equipment or rigging is preferred.
  • Existing relationships with Lighting Designers, Production Managers, or Promoters in the DACH region are preferred.
  • Experience working with or for a lighting rental company is preferred.
