Description

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain core platform services for Chainguard.
  • Design, build, and scale core services including authentication, databases, APIs, SDKs, and chainctl.
  • Improve how services are deployed, configured, monitored, and maintained across the platform.
  • Help accelerate internal engineering teams and Chainguard customers through platform reliability and enablement.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working and thriving within a Linux ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting high-availability distributed production systems.
  • Experience treating infrastructure as code with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack.
  • Familiarity with a public cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Software development experience in at least one of the following languages: Python or Golang.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Strong English language skills and ability to work independently as part of a globally distributed team.
  • Ability to learn about the supply chain security space.
  • Experience managing a large Golang monorepo is preferred.
  • Experience working with Identity Providers (IdPs), Single Sign-On (SSO), and authentication protocols is preferred.
  • Experience with database administration using a SQL dialect is preferred.
  • Experience scaling services in a performant and cost-effective manner is preferred.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker/OCI and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Linux systems troubleshooting and debugging skills are preferred.
  • Interest in open source software projects and communities is preferred.
