Description

Lead the design and implementation of core Libraries Platform services, pipelines, and package index components.
Design and maintain automation for artifact creation, updates, verification, vulnerability scanning, remediation, SBOM/provenance generation, and policy enforcement.
Build and operate shared platform services such as package indexes, registry mirrors, metadata services, and orchestration tooling.
Develop internal developer tools and CLIs, often in Go, to improve how libraries are built, tested, and shipped at scale.
Integrate platform tooling with build systems and CI/CD workflows across multiple ecosystems.
Drive reliability, scalability, and observability by defining SLOs, building monitoring and alerting, and leading incident response.
Solve complex dependency, toolchain, compiler, CI/CD, and registry/package index issues in production.
Partner with ecosystem, Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams to meet reliability, security, and product requirements.
Mentor and unblock other engineers through design reviews, documentation, and hands-on debugging.

Requirements

5+ years designing, building, and operating infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms.
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or the ability to ramp quickly.
Experience building and owning developer tooling and automation such as plugins, CLIs, code generators, or custom pipelines.
Strong background in CI/CD, cloud-native infrastructure, and IaC.
Experience with containers, including Docker/OCI and Kubernetes.
Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with infrastructure and delivery tools such as Terraform and GitHub Actions, Argo, or Tekton.
Demonstrated ability to debug and resolve complex toolchain, compiler, packaging, and infrastructure failures in production.
Comfort working across SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps responsibilities.
Excellent communication in a remote, distributed environment with strong documentation and collaboration habits.
An ownership mindset with comfort shaping technical direction in an early, high-impact area.
Open source contributions in ecosystem tooling, libraries, or packaging (nice to have).
Experience with software supply chain security, including SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, attestations, or secure-by-default packaging (nice to have).
Background with Linux distributions, packaging, and reproducible build systems such as Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, CMake, or Ninja (nice to have).
Familiarity with AI/ML packaging and infrastructure for native Python libraries or ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow in cloud/Kubernetes environments (nice to have).
Prior experience in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps roles supporting developer productivity or large language-ecosystem codebases (nice to have).
