Description

Build and maintain Athena components in Go on GCP, including onboarding, entitlement logic, and data ingestion pipelines.
Own ambiguous problems and features from design through production, including testing and observability.
Implement scalable architectural patterns with staff and principal engineers.
Develop backend systems that transform unstructured customer data into structured, validated outputs.
Design, implement, and operate reliable agentic workflows across production systems.
Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems.
Lead multi-engineer efforts and become a subject-matter owner for core subsystems.
Review code, provide feedback, and improve engineering standards.
Contribute infrastructure-as-code and operational tooling with Terraform and GCP-native tools.

Requirements

Production backend engineering experience shipping and maintaining systems.
Strong Go development skills.
Experience with GCP and Terraform.
Ability to parse, validate, and deduplicate unstructured data analytically.
Experience with operational excellence practices, including monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.
Ability to independently scope and deliver features with minimal oversight.
Experience with agentic AI workflows.
Security or infrastructure domain knowledge.
Experience with customer-facing APIs or workflow systems preferred.
Experience with security vulnerabilities, coordinated disclosure, or CVE publication preferred.

Base salary of $157,000–$184,000 USD.
