Description

  • Design, deploy, and optimize technical controls to detect and prevent security incidents.
  • Engineer custom detection logic, integrate threat intelligence, and automate security operations with SOAR and AI-driven playbooks.
  • Contribute to or lead incident response efforts, including tabletop exercises.
  • Collaborate across teams to embed security best practices into products and processes.
  • Conduct thesis-driven threat hunts across forensic data lakes.
  • Research the evolving threat landscape and support ongoing professional development through training time and budget.
  • Participate in rotational on-call coverage as part of a shared team schedule.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, information security, IT engineering, or a combination of these areas.
  • Experience securing cloud-native environments.
  • Experience with cloud and endpoint security operations.
  • Cloud forensics and incident response knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Ability to craft automation using Go, Python, or Shell.
  • A practiced technical investigative mindset.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple simultaneous work streams.
  • Threat intelligence experience or strong familiarity.
  • Bias for macOS or Linux technology; offensive security or open-source software development is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Systems preferred but not required.
  • Passion for AI is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 USD.
