Description

  • Help shape identity and authorization controls for users, services, and AI agents.
  • Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical IAM software, libraries, and tooling.
  • Use AI-assisted development to improve least privilege, code quality, system performance, and reliability with appropriate verification.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to build performant and resilient authentication, authorization, and auditing controls across high-traffic services and infrastructure.
  • Partner with Security, Networking, Data Platform, Cloud Platform, Agent Platform, and product teams as an I2AM representative.
  • Work with and mentor more junior engineers on the I2AM team.
  • Evaluate and verify AI-assisted work through testing, source-checking, data validation, and peer review.
  • Help define and evaluate access controls across production infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience influencing technical architecture and roadmap adoption across teams.
  • Proven ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-assisted work.
  • Demonstrated ability to prototype and use AI tooling to improve workflow reliability, quality, and system performance.
  • High integrity and ownership, including protecting sensitive data and remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform or Puppet is a strong plus.
  • Experience with identity and account security technologies such as OAuth, SAML, or RBAC is a strong plus.
  • Experience with AWS or other public cloud infrastructure and containerization such as Kubernetes is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols at the application layer is a strong plus.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $155,584 to $320,320 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • Flexible work model with only 1-2 in-office collaboration visits every 6 months.
  • Can be situated anywhere in the country.
  • No relocation assistance provided for this role.
