Description

  • Build AI-native self-service experiences using Amazon Connect AI agents, Amazon Q in Connect, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Engineer prompts, tool-calling integrations, and guardrails for production conversational AI workflows.
  • Implement voice AI behaviors including barge-in handling, fallback, error recovery, and turn-by-turn trace validation.
  • Optimize model selection, prompt caching, token usage, cost, and latency to meet containment-rate targets.
  • Diagnose AI agent performance using observability data across contact flows, transcripts, spans, tool calls, and token usage.
  • Build and configure Amazon Connect contact flows, routing, Customer Profiles, Cases, Tasks, and Contact Lens solutions.
  • Develop serverless backends and customer-facing tooling using Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and React.
  • Create analytics data pipelines and dashboards with Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, and QuickSight.
  • Support legacy contact center migrations, including flow conversion, data migration, validation, and production cutover.
  • Work directly with customer engineering teams, lead technical sessions, perform code reviews, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years building on Amazon Connect or comparable enterprise CCaaS platforms.
  • Strong current Amazon Connect experience with contact flows, routing, Cases and Tasks, Contact Lens, Customer Profiles, Streams API, and analytics.
  • Experience with conversational and generative AI, including Amazon Lex, Amazon Bedrock, Q in Connect, prompt engineering, and tool calling.
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js and Python skills, plus production React experience.
  • Solid AWS serverless engineering experience with Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and Kinesis.
  • Infrastructure as code experience with AWS CDK or Terraform, including multi-account deployment patterns.
  • Experience shipping and supporting production systems with testing discipline, observability, and incident debugging.
  • Clear customer-facing communication skills and ability to demo work and explain trade-offs.
  • Preferred: AWS certifications, contact center migration experience, regulated industry experience, accessibility engineering, AI observability, and consulting/client-delivery background.
