Description

  • Define and evolve the technical architecture for Caseware’s AI platform, including standards, contracts, and design principles.
  • Design, build, and operate AI systems powered by LLMs, retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled services.
  • Develop multi-agent systems, agent execution runtimes, workflow orchestration, memory management, and human-in-the-loop capabilities.
  • Design evaluation, governance, auditability, and traceability frameworks for AI systems.
  • Translate advances in AI into maintainable platform capabilities that solve customer problems.
  • Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands-on collaboration.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and cloud capabilities.
  • Lead proof-of-concepts that inform platform strategy and future investments.
  • Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices across AI systems.
  • Partner with Product, QA, Security, Domain SMEs, and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
  • Mentor engineers across teams and help raise overall engineering maturity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact beyond a single team.
  • 2+ years building and operating production AI systems.
  • Proven experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms at scale.
  • Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of AI tradeoffs including latency, cost, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Extensive experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Experience operating systems in regulated or compliance-heavy domains is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting, auditing, or financial workflows is preferred.
  • Experience with the listed stack, including TypeScript, NestJS, Python, AWS EKS, AWS Lambda, AWS Bedrock, AWS AgentCore, AWS OpenSearch Serverless, AWS Textract, DynamoDB, S3, LangFuse, LangSmith, GitHub Copilot, AWS Kiro, GitHub Actions, and Nx Monorepo.
