Description

  • Secure all gates and verify proper authorization for vehicles and personnel entering or leaving the facility.
  • Monitor and patrol the auction property, offices, building, and grounds to identify security, safety, and fire hazards.
  • Maintain courteous customer service, greet customers, and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
  • Respond to irregularities, incidents, accidents, injuries, theft concerns, and emergency situations following required procedures.
  • Control access to the property, permit only authorized persons to enter, and inspect departing personnel and vehicles for theft prevention.
  • Maintain communication with auction staff and report serious complaints, incidents, breakdowns, and maintenance needs to management.
  • Account for keys, codes, and other security information and maintain emergency contact lists.
  • For Security Lead duties, review and file daily activity, special, lost and found, and incident reports.
  • Manage schedules, time sheets, and related employee documents for the security team.
  • Train new employees, attend weekly site meetings, and coordinate with other departments across the auction.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, review footage, respond to camera calls, and file reports as needed.
  • Help customers locate vehicles, answer calls, and coordinate vehicle check-in and release using VIN and stock number verification.

Requirements

  • Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of security experience preferred.
  • EMS (Emergency Medical Services) certification required.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and nights.
  • Must be qualified to operate both automatic and standard motor vehicles.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • For Security Lead, 1 to 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and the ability to work independently with good judgment and discretion.
  • Must be well organized, responsible, and able to solve problems and adapt to changing work environments.
  • Must be able to perform all Security Guard responsibilities and qualifications.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
