Description

  • Provision, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL database systems in AWS cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Monitor database performance, implement alerting, and optimize database workloads.
  • Manage database backups, restores, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, auditing, and troubleshooting.
  • Plan and execute complex database upgrades and migrations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Automate database deployments, configuration, and patching with Ansible.
  • Manage Linux systems hosting databases, including monitoring, hardening, and performance tuning.
  • Design, test, and support auto-failover, load balancing, and DNS-based database availability solutions.
  • Document database configurations, operational procedures, and recovery plans, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience as a Database Administrator with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.
  • Proven experience with configuration management tools, preferably Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience implementing load balancing and auto-failover solutions for database systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and routine automations.
  • Experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS or Google Cloud SQL (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes and how they interact with databases (preferred).
  • Production experience with ClickHouse or MongoDB (preferred).
  • Knowledge of financial audit processes (preferred).
